About Me

Meet the Consultant

Shannon Latimer has many years of experience setting up Montessori environments for young children. Shannon has been an AMI School Consultant at the 0-3 level since 2021. She has 17 years of experience as a guide in AMI Montessori toddler communities. Shannon earned her Association Montessori Internatioinale Assistants to Infancy Diploma in 2006 from the Montessori Institute of North Texas. Prior to her Montessori work, Shannon served parents and children as a parent educator with Parents as Teachers, a La Leche League Leader, distributor of baby slings, and childcare provider. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from Southern Methodist University. Shannon is a mom to three adult children, a dog and a cat.
